Toyota Repair: Tacoma idle problem, air control valve, foot on the gas

Question
QUESTION: Same thing happened to me in my 1997 V6. I was 1hr into a 400mi road trip and whenever I put my foot down on the clutch it shut off. Did you find out what the problem was???

ANSWER: No, actually not, at least I don't remember if I did. After it shuts off and the clutch is let back out does it run and restart right away?

QUESTION: Clutch isn't the problem its when i let the rpm under 1000(or idle).
It starts and sounds fine, I just need to keep my right foot on the gas petal(above 1000rpm).

Answer
This can be fixed by removing the throttle body and then the idle air control valve, clean both of them with intake spray cleaner and a brush, the problem is carbon deposits, check to make sure after cleaning the isc valve that the air bypass valve can be moved open and then it should almost fully close by itself.
