Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): lawn mower, andy hunt, gas valve

Question
I have a 22" weedeater lawnmower- less than a year old. It starts right up and then immediately dies. I've drained the gas and filled w/ brand new gas and it still happens. Air filter is clean. I've been told that maybe my gas valve is off but I don't know where that is located. I've alos been told that there may be an obstruction in the card but I've never taken a carb apart. Yikes! Can you help?

Does this one have the carburetor mounted on the tank?
