QuestionQUESTION: Howdy,i have a 93 hilux extra cab,22r engine,when i push the 4wd selector switch the 4wd indicator light breifly comes on but then goes off.The car is still in 4wd but the light isnt on.
The light used to stay on perminatley while in 4wd but no longer.
Any ideas? cheers
ANSWER: Probably a problem with the switch that turns the light on/off, it's located on the front differential on the 4x4 actuator.

QUESTION: Thanx for the answer,any idea what the problem would be exactly?,it seems strange how the light comes on for a split second when the 4wd button is pushed then goes off.loose wiring maybe?
AnswerPossibly, check the electrical connections at both the switch in the dash and at the switch on the differential, you can also remove the switch from the diff and activate it manually by pushing the plunger in, the light on the dash should go on and off when doing this.
