Toyota Repair: Gear shifter loose, phillips screws, toyota pickup

Question
Hi, I have a 93 Toyota pickup and the gear shifter has become real sloppy. I can't get it in 5th gear or reverse now. The other gears will work ok. It has gradually gotten worse and now it needs help. The shifter goes way out of range when moving it to reverse. I think it's in the top of the shifter itself but I don't know how to get it apart and my manual doesn't show anything. Any help would be great.  Thank You

Answer
The shifter bushings are worn, remove the shift console, peel the carpet back to get to the phillips screws for the shifter cover then remove the rubber boot, the shifter can be removed by oushing doen on the metal retainer and turning it, it's spring loaded and the retainer will pop up and the shifter can be pulled out of the tower.
