Toyota Repair: camry dies, air control valves, toyota camry

Question
i have a '94 toyota camry, roughly 245k miles, automatic, is dying on me. ive changed spark plugs, fuel filters, even put some lucas transmission fluid..been thru a whole checklist of stuff..couldnt hurt to replace them anyway. so, ive noticed that after my car has sat, like all nite, and i go to start it in the morning it will start and  before i can put it into drive, it dies, i start it and if i hurry i can usually get it into drivr and go. usually dies when im in reverse about to go into drive. it has died at stop lights a couple times(which im scared of getting hit!) after ive been driving for awhile..say 15 mins..it is fine. another thing, tho i dont know if it has anything to do with the dying..is it lunges ..like your reving the engine. i have read thru a billion postings online, but most talked about dying when you hit the brakes or dying when it has warmed up, which i have the opposite problem. i dont have the money to get a whole new transmission, but nothing i try seems to even phase the problem.

Answer
I don't think the problem is the transmission, the camrys have a known problem with the idle air control valves that cause stalling and erratic idle either too high or too low, most of the time too low. the solution is to either clean or replace the valve. The valve is located on the throttle body which has to be removed to bet the IAC valve off, at the same time the throttle body should be cleaned as well.
