Toyota Repair: 1994 Celica, r 134 refrigerant, external threads

Question
What kind of freon does a 94' Celica need?

Answer
In 1994 most cars started using the R-134 refrigerant but it couls also be using the older R-12, look under the hood for a small yellow label, it will say which it has, if the label is gone then look at the service valves, this is where the freon is added, they may have a plastic cap on them, they are located on each freon line under the hood near the firewall, if it uses 134 freon the valves will have a fitting with a groove on it, if it's R-12 then it will have external threads and look kind of like a tire valve.
