Toyota Repair: 99 Toyota 4Runner, toyota 4runner, dash switch

Question
QUESTION: I recently purchased a 1999 4runner.  Occasionally, I have 3 things go out at once.  The remote door lock/unlock, the rear wiper and the rear window (operated from the dash switch)  They all go out at the same time and come back on at the same time.  This problem operates more and more often.  Since these three things seem to be tied together, is there an electrical connection between the three that could be causing this?

ANSWER: All of those functions are controlled by the body control computer, check all the fuses inside and under the hood but in most cases the body ecu is the problem, it's located in the lower left of the dash, i'ts the entire unit that has all the fuses on it.

QUESTION: Is there a way to tell for certain that the body control computer is the problem.  Is is possible that a problem wih the dash switch for the rear window could be the issue?  And if so, how can I test for that?

Answer
Are you able to lock/unlock the doors with the switch on the left armrest and not with the remote or do both not work when this happens? At that same time are you able to operate the rear window with the remote or with the key? Is the "open door" warning light on the dash on when this happens?
