Toyota Repair: 97 Toyota Camry, toyota camry, dome light

Question
The door ajar light suddenly stays on.  Where is the sensor and how can we verify what door has the problem?  We have to keep our dome light switched off as well.

Each door has it's own on/off switch for the dome light which also controls the door ajar light,the switches are located on each door on the door jamb. Close all the doors, the light on the dash should stay on until you find the bad switch, starting with the driver's door, open it and push the switch manually in, if the light goes off then this is the switch that's giving the problem, if not do the same thing with each door one at a time making sure all the other doors are closed, the switches work by grounding themselves when the door is opened, if the ground is constant then the light will stay on, you have to find the switch that stays grounded.
