Toyota Repair: tranny, seal area, trans fluid

Question
Hi,

When I put on the cruise control at about 65-70 mph for a period of time, my 95 4runner, 3.0 4wd with 147K miles, transmission light comes on.  I follow the manuals instruction to turn the car off and wait a few minutes and then start it and it goes off. The manual said this means the temperature is to high...but why? I notice trans fluid squirts out of the bottoms of the trans around the seal area. What can I do to correct that?

Thanks

Answer
SO if you mean that the trans pan is leaking, you need to replace the gasket that seals the pan.

I answered your last question in regard to the leak you asked about. Don't waste my time jerk! Obviously, if you are leaking fluid you are going to be low on fluid. This will cause overheating of the trans.

Is it that hard to figure out? People like you shouldn't even have a license. You are about 20 cards short of a full deck.
