Toyota Repair: toyoto pickup runs hot, head gasket, water jacket

my son has a toyoto pickup, 1989 model.It runs hot. the radiator has been pressure checked and found no leaks. How could I determine if it is the head gasket or water jacket.

First thing to do is feel the radiator hoses top and bottom, make sure they both are at approx same temperature to your hand touch.

Does it run hot or boil over?

When its fully warmed up drive with the heater turned all the way up,
watch the guage if it comes down its not a head gasket issue. Have you checked oil for anti-freeze in it? have you checked radiator for oil in it?
