Questionhi i have a 05 tocoma, i have the extra care extended warranty, ive put a few things on the truck like cold air intake, and headers, and throttle body, well the truck threw a rod, does my warranty cover the moter to be fixed , i dont see how the things i did have anything to do with the motor, it just gives it better air flow...
AnswerI agree with you, if it's a mechanical failure it has nothing to do with any adding headers or cold air intake,it's not a factor, they probably won't even ask about those items, they will base their decision on what caused the mechanical failure, most of these types of failures are caused by lack of lubrication.
