Toyota Repair: electrical issue, automatic door locks, amp fuse

Question
Hi,
I have a 1998 Toyota Camry, 4cyl. automatic with about 135,000 miles on it.  About two months ago I started having some electrical issues with the doors and clock and dome light.  The automatic door locks won't work unless the key is in the on position and the clock resets to 1:00 every time the car is turned off, and the clock turns off when the door is opened.  Another thing is I can't unlock all the doors from the outside by turning the key twice.  Also, the fuse for the dome light keeps blowing.  I changed out the 30 amp fuse under the dash because I read in another answer you gave to try that-it didn't fix the problem.  Any other ideas as to what this might be?  Thanks so much.

Answer
Robin,

Iv'e seen similar issues like this with other Toyotas. The first thing to do is have a good Toyota technician open the drivers door
and check and test all the wires in the boot that goes from the door frame into the door, the rubber protective piece must be slit open
horizontally and each wire inspected.
