Toyota Repair: 1995 corolla shift problem, toyota corolla, shift problem

Question
I recently purchased a 1995 toyota corolla which is a 5spd.  It has 149k miles and the previous owner replaced the clutch.  But while driving and trying to shift quick, it seems like 2nd gear is hard to get into, while all the other gears are pretty normal.  I actually have to use some force to put it in gear.  Was told that it may be the syncros? but not sure.  Also whats the price range of having them replaced at a mechanic including labor?

Answer
Pat,
Sorry to say but that is most likely syncro's. The labor and parts
can be a several hundred dollars, you need to have it looked at by a reputable shop with Toyota experience. Most likely that's why they sold the car.

Good luck, let me know the out come.
