Toyota Repair: 1996 Toyota Camry, amp fuse, digital multimeter

Question
A 10 amp fuse blew causing the speedometer, gas gauge, windows, and AC not to work.  When I replace the fuse they work fine until I take it out of park and the fuse blows again.  What could cause this?   Thanks/cp

Answer
Hi there,

If there's an immediate blown fuse, then there's a bad/short ground in the circuit in question. In order to diagnose, you will need a digital multimeter and a wiring diagram. You might want to check any additional items that are considered aftermarket such as: alarm systems, remote starter switches, stereo systems...these may have been spliced into the circuit in question. After that you will want to test the master window switch and circuit and the A/C circuit.
