Toyota Repair: 2000 Camry inspection, toyota camry, car expert

Question
Hello, I'm no car expert, so I need help. I just purchased a 2000 Toyota Camry LE from a private owner, with 55,000 miles. I'd like to take it in and have it checked over. What kind of inspection/services should I ask the mechanic to do? Thanks! Donna

Answer
I would recommend having the toyota dealer do this inspection, just ask for a prospective buyer's inspection, or pre-sale inspection, they will know what to do, it's basically a safety and visual inspection of the car and a roadtest, they should furnish you with a complete inspection sheet which would indicate any repairs that require immediate attention or potential problems that may come up in the near future, make sure to ask for a copy of the inspection sheet at the time the repair order is written.
