Toyota Repair: 1985 Toyota PU, 4 cyl Idle problem, intake manifold gasket, rpms increase

Question
All of a sudden my Toyota will not idle when warm.  It sounds like it is getting to much gas at idle and dies unless I pump the throttle to keep it running.  I have checked all vacuum hoses - ok.  Checked the choke setting - ok and open when warm.  The engine seems to idle ok when cool but upon warming up the engine fails to idle.  This problem occurred without any other problems and happened all of a sudden.  Other than failure to idle, the engine runs fine.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Answer
Check for an intake manifold gasket leak or a carburetor base gasket leak, spray the areas around the gaskets with some brake cleaner or carb cleaner and see if the rpms increase, if so that's where the air leak is, these engines had a tendency to have intake gaskets leak at the rear near the egr port, where the egr valve attaches to the intake manifold.
