Toyota Repair: ABS Light on after clutch replacement 94 toyota celica, toyota celica, clutch replacement

Question
I took my 1994 Toyota Celica in to have the clutch replaced and when I picked it up and drove away maybe 50 feet the abs light came on.  They said they didn't touch that area and had a look at it and said they didn't know what was wrong and to take it to Toyota.  What could be wrong and do you think it is something they did ??

Answer
Yes, it's something they did, the light wasn't on before, right? They're either ignorant or lying to you, in order to remove the transmission they have to remove the axles and move the disc brakes and calipers out of the way, sometimes when doing this the abs sensor wires are stretched and they break on the inside because they didn't support the brake disc/caliper assembly and instead let it fall down which breaks the wires, saying they "didn't touch the area" is a lie. Yes, do take it to the Toyota dealer and have it diagnosed, I'm sure that you will get a code for an ABS speed sensor failure at either right front or left or both, tell the dealer what you told me they will back me up if I'm right. Then call that repair shop back and ask them how they would like to take care of this. The thing that really concerns me is that you drove the car 50 feet and the light comes on, don't they test drive the cars after they work on them?
