Toyota Repair: scrapeing sound comeing from the wheels, wheel bearings, toyota previa

Hi I have a toyota previa van 1993. There is a scrapeing sound coming from my wheels I have had the breaks check buy a friend and they appear to be in good shape as I was told there is also a light screeching sound it is louder when you use the breaks but is there while you are driving any ideas on what this could be

Check the wheel bearings, with the car off the ground put it in gear and accelerate to make the wheels spin, you should hear the noise from one of the bearings on either side, also with the engine off check for any excessive free play in the bearings by moving the wheel around.
