Toyota Repair: po505, air intake hose, air control valve

Question
I have a 2001 4runner with 130k miles. my check engine light came on and also my vsc trak vsc off lights. i used a ob2 and it gave me po505 which says idle control system malfunction. can you please help?

Answer
Most of the time this is caused by a low idle condition, before replacing anything try removing the air intake hose and cleaning the throttle body and the throttle plate with air intake spray cleaner and a brush, this is normally caused by a lot of carbon that has built up in the throttle body over time, if this doesn't resolve the problem the throttle body should be removed and the idle air control valve removed and cleaned as well or just replaced.
