Toyota Repair: Engine FE-1G starting problems (Mark II), toyota engine, problem thanks

My toyota engine FE-1G when started in the morning starts ok but then dies down immediately. On the second start, it will then start and run normally. Happens also when left for a long time. Please what is the problem?

That could be a number of things. Really want to help, don't want to guess, need to know more info. What year and model of Toyota? How many miles? What have you replaced? What happens when the engine is warmed up and you try to start it?
