Toyota Repair: Ignition coil bad?, obd ii code reader, spark plug wires

Question
I have a '97 4Runner V6 with manual transmission and 136k miles.  The check engine light came on recently and noticed the engine running slightly rough.  I bought a OBD II code reader and got a reading P0304 - misfire detected on #4 cylinder.  I changed the spark plugs along with the spark plug wires, thinking it might be a bad spark plug wire.  Upon clearing the code and driving the vehicle for a few miles the check engine light came back on and the code reader again read P0304.  I failed to check the resistance on the coil to see if it was bad.  My question is if it was a bad coil wouldn't I get misfiring on both cylinder #1 as well as #4 since they share the same coil?  Any ideas...I'm thinking of checking the compression next then the fuel injector.  Thanks!

Answer
Yes, that's correct, it's very possible that the #4 fuel injector is the problem but first I would recommend checking the engine compression as you said, to make sure the cylinders have normal compression readings of about 180 psi, if so replace the #4 fuel injector.
