Toyota Repair: 1991 Toyota Camry/ Wont Start, 1991 toyota camry, crank pulley

Question
I have a 1991 Toyota Camry that will not start. It will crank over but will not start. I sprayed starter fluid into the throttle body and it still will not start. Could not retrieve the OBD 1 codes because it would never go into the diagnostic mode. Also I accidentally tapped the distributor cap and it made a buzzing sound. Please help! The car has been having problems as far as starting was concerned, it would take awhile before it would stay started. I had started it and while it started ,it putted very heavily. I then stopped and started it a few more times, but after doing that, it never started again. I have since tried starter fluid in the throttle body to no avail. It will crank but not start. I had someone look at the belt and they said it was turning, thus it's not broken. Any ideas?

Answer
The distributor may be the problem, although the timing belt turns it can still be the problem if it jumped on the gears,if the belt is really loose then that's a probability, make sure the timing marks on the crank pulley and the cam pulley are lined up correctly.
