Question'94 Toyota Celica -1.8 L - ..... I am in the process of changing the timing belt,
etc, and have the harmonic balance wheel removed. My question is how do I
remove the gear directly behind the harmonic balance wheel, so I can replace
the crankshaft seal??...thx for the help!
AnswerSome of them have 8mm holes in them so a puller can be attaced but some don't, if it can't be pulled of by carefully prying then some of the reluctor teeth on the gear may break off in which case the gear will need to be replaced, there is just no room behind the gear to put a puller on.
