Toyota Repair: Toyota center air vent problem, air flow control, toyota camry

Question
I own a 1998 Toyota Camry with 120,000 miles, and an automatic transmission.  When the heater or A/C is on, no matter what position the air flow control dial is in, the air only flows out of the side dash vents and the defrosters. No air will come out of the center dash vents or the floor vents.  What is causing this problem and how can it be corrected.

Answer
One of the control cables that ddirects air flow by opening and closing various doors in the air ducting has probably come off or is broken, the cables connect to both sides of the heater box under the dash, check to see if they move when moving the control lever, on the rights side, the glove box has to be removed to check the right side cable operation.
