Toyota Repair: 2003 Corolla o2 Sensor, brake rotors, o2 sensor

Question
Hi, Ted.

I just replaced my oxygen sensor (before cat) and never tested it, just replaced it. (why did I replace it, I have 82k on my car and got 2 for free, Denso OEM) I got 2 from a friend of mine. The one I removed has a white color to it, is that a indication that is was running lean?(as with plugs) I was wondering if I could email you a picture of it.

Now I have a question with my brakes, When I am on the highway going about 75-80mph, if I need to apply the brakes quickly my steering wheel shakes a little. It doesn't happen a low speeds (35-40mph)I don't notice pulling to either side, so I wouldn't think its one side or the other. It has the original brakes on it with 82k miles. Its not using any brake fluid and the brake fluid doesn't smell burnt either.

Have a wonderful day!!

Thanks, Ted!!

Answer
If the engine was running in a too lean condition the check engine light would turn on, if that's not the case it doesn't matter what the sensor or the plugs look like, it may just be normal deposits.
The brakes should be checked, in most cases a brake vibration is caused by warped brake rotors in the front, they should be checked and measured and if there is enough thickness the rotors should be resurfaced on a brake machine and the brake pads replaced.
