Toyota Repair: Maint. Reqd Light on dash, maintenance reminder, reset button

This light recently came on.  A friend said it was a reminder to get the oil changed.  I am elderly and my 2005 Camry after almost 3 years has about 8000 miles. I have the oil and filter changed at 6 mos. intervals and the most recent was1/11/2008 and 805 miles since the 6 mos. time before. Help?

The maintenance reminder light should have been turned off and reset when the last oil change was done, you can do it yourself by doing the following: turn the key ON, make sure the odometer shows "ODO" not trip A or B. Push the TRIP RESET button in and hold it in while turning the key off and then back on again, keep holding the reset button until the flashing lines on the odometer display disappear and the mileage comes back, it's now reset.
