Toyota Repair: Corolla question, filter need, filter drain

Question
I have a 2003 corolla with 99000. I have done nothing but change oil and air filters, except front pads at 65000. I looking to do some preventive maintenace, but the book is confusing and what it says and what the dealer says is different. They have a 90000 mile service for $499 that includes changing plugs, trans flush, oil, air, all other fluids etc.... Does the Trans filter need to be changed too??? The dealer says no as well is the answer when I asked about the timing chain, which the book suggests replace at 90000??? You are right about the belts in these cars!!! They all make noise!!! The only other question is the brake rotors!!! I have never turned them, but they seem to be fine!!Should I just leave them alone or go ahead and do that to???? What's a reasonable amount to pay for all this at the dealership??? Thanks for you help..

Answer
What I recommend at this mileage is to change the oil and filter, drain and fill the transmission fluid, a flushing is not needed unless the fluid is very dark and discolored, change the coolant, replace the air filter, there is no trans filter, replace spark plugs,if they want to flush the power steering and the brake fluid ask them to show you why, is the fluid discolored then it may be a good idea to do it, the timing chain pretty much lasts the lifetime of the engine, the brake rotors should be measured to make sure they are serviceable, if they are thick enough they can be resurfaced and do not need to be replaced.
