Toyota Repair: engine swap, electronic control systems, hook up

Question
can I put a 1995 4 cyl. motor in a 1993 camry that also had a 4 cyl. If so what problems might I encounter, Will all systems hook up the same way. Thanks, Fred

Shouldn't be a problem the engines are exactly the same, as long as only the engine long block is used and all the electronic systems, intake and exhaust systems of the old engine are retained, this is especially true if one of the engines was originally automatic and the other a manual transmission. The two electronic control systems are not compatible.
