Toyota Repair: 1999 toyota avalon, combustion chambers, spark plug wire

Question
when driving my Avalon first thing in morning, it starts and idles fine, but when i accelerate moderate or hard, it hesitates and has no power. Outside temp. 30-50 degrees.
It will accelerate better in 2nd gear.  Once warmed up it runs fine.  If it is later parked during the day for a couple hours and engine is cold, it will run and accelerate fine.  Problem only occurs first thing in morning.  Took it to Toyota dealer, they cleaned throttle body, did not help.  Nothing came up on computer.  They decided to keep it over night to see if the problem came up first thing in morning.  It did, but they could figure it out.  I tightened connections from air filter to engine as I read that might be a cause, didn't help.  It has 110000 miles and runs, starts and idles fine, just has no power first thing in morning.  Suggestions???
Thanks

Answer
It's possible that there is an engine misfire when cold, this may be caused by one of the ignition coil packs, a spark plug wire, a spark plug, another thing to consider is that there may be a headgasket leak into one of the combustion chambers, this is typically a cold engine condition as soon as it warms up the gasket may seal due to heat expansion, this may be the case if there is excessive coolant usage, another sign would some white steeam from the exhaust when starting cold, those are a few things that should be considered.
