Toyota Repair: my trunk is locked and wont open, toyota celica, seat cushion

Question
I have a 94 toyota celica and the lock to open it is turned completely to the left.  My latch to open it inside the car is like it is not attached to it to open it.  Is there any other way to open it.  My back seats will not unlatch to go thru there either.  I have groceries in the back, any suggestions????

I'm afraid it's going to take professional help, the rear seat cushion can be pulled out, then the seat back can be unbolted and removed to get inside the trunk to get to the lock to pull the latch open manually, I guess that the inside release doesn't work either which means that the control rod to the lock has come off.
