BMW Repair: instrument light not working #10 fuse blown, bmw 318i, instrument light

BMW 318i 1999
blows #10 fuse - no instrument lights
changed SI board but did'nt fix problem
what else could it be i'm stumped

Answer
Could be wires touching each other.  Replace fuse and check for smoke from burning wires maybe.  Also start grabing wires and check for heat.  If anything after market installed or new components installed recently, disconnect and see if that helps problem.  What is the # 10 fuse for?  See if anything was wired into that component that may be pulling to many amps why it keeps poping the fuse.
