Toyota Repair: looking for to purchase a used Toyota Camry, toyota camry, fe engine

Hi Ted,  I plan to purchase a used Toyota Camry from year 1997-2006.  What year do you recommmend me to buy?  I heard 5sfe engine has lot of sluge engine so I want to stay away from it, especially buy it used.  I think from 92-96, the engine is 5sfe and from 97-00, I am not sure and from 00-2006, do they still use 5sfe engine?  Your suggestion is very much appreciated.

The V-6 engine had a lot more of the sludge problems than the 4 cylinder, they stopped using this engine in 2002, all 4 cylinder engines of that year and up use the 2AZ-FE engine which is much better and has more power and does not have a timing belt which needs to be replaced every 90,000 miles, the later model the better.
