Toyota Repair: 1992 toyota 3.0 v6 4wd, parking brake cable, toyota dealer

Question
I have two questions actually:
1. My parking brake cable snapped at the lever. Do you know where to purchase a new one?
2. Truck idles normal at 8oorpm or about. Whenever I stop at it holds an idle of at least 1500rpm. I have to tap the gas quickly to bring it back down to normal. Why is this?

The only place I know that would have the correct part is the toyota dealer.  Check the throttle cable to see if it's not too tight, it can be adjusted at the throttle body, if not there may be some carbon in the throttle body that has to be cleaned out, it may cause the throttle to stick.
