Toyota Repair: Engine mounts/Brakes, drive axles, lexus repair

Question
Hi. I would have posted this in the Lexus Repair section but the expert, Jason, is on vacation until November '07 per this site. Anyway, I have a few questions that I am hoping that you can answer. I own a '98 ES300 - the "wicked stepsister" to the V6 Camry with the same engine. I was recently advised to replace my engine mounts in which I had my mechanic do except for the rear mount. He said that he would have to remove the drive axles to do it and that the job would take about 3 hrs. total. He suggested that I wait until it is time to replace the axles. The other mounts were replaced; the transmission mount was in good condition. So, I guess my question is should I rush to get the rear mount done? I told my mechanic that I was in no rush and I was advised to just drive easy. Will any harm be done by not replacing this mount? The others are good. And, one other question. I just had a front brake job (pads and rotors) and the right caliper was unfrozen; the sliding pins were especially lubricated. Is it necessary to replace the calipers or am I ok with the old ones being repaired? Winter is just around the corner and I wish to avoid any more problems or repairs. Thanks for your advice and I am sorry that I wrote a novel!

Answer
The rear mount almost never needs replacing anyway, if the engine is stable and there are no clunking noises or shift shock from park to drive or vibration I would leave it as is. As long as the sliding pins are free and the caliper can move on the pins there is no need to replace anything.
