Toyota Repair: Still No Dash Lights, aftermarket radio, dash lights

Question
Ted,
I asked a question a while ago regarding losing my dash lights after an aftermarket radio install.  I still have no dash lights after checking/replacing the fuses.  Every other option works (dome light, tail lights, etc) so I think I have ruled out the fuse.  The rheostat basically doesn't function, or at least I can't tell if it does since I have no dash lights.  I'm wondering if the rheostat also controls the radio lights.  If it does, then the rheostat might be bad since it does not control the radio lights.  Any suggestions on where to start if it's not the rheostat? I took the aftermarket radio out and reinstalled the factory radio.  This also did not bring my dash lights back, so I reinstalled my aftermarket.

Answer
In most cases the radio light is constant and is not adjustable by the rheostat, since the dash light problem started after the radio installation the wiring is the most likely cause, a wire may have been cut and not reconnected or connected wrong, if you can give me an email address I can send a copy of the wiring diagram for the radio and dash lights.
