Toyota Repair: 92 Corolla Wagon All-Trac clutch? tranny? or?, clutch master cylinder, corolla wagon

Question
Sometimes won't shift into gear when off or started. Sometimes starts out fine, but after driving a couple of miles, clutch doesn't engage (makes for some anxiety in traffic!)and have to double clutch or just jam it to shift.
Bad clutch?...I've never had one that acted like this...is it possibly something in the transmission or the All-Trac?
I just got the car, pretty cheap, all good except for this, so I hope to have it for a winter driver.
Thanks

Answer
There may be a clutch hydraulic leak, check the clutch reservoir under the hood and see if the fluid is low if you have to add fluid or if the fluid is near the bottom of the reservoir there is a leak in the system, the most likely place is the clutch master cylinder or the release cylinder on the transmission.
