Toyota Repair: Sienna A/C question, toyota sienna, toyota dealer

I have a 2000 Toyota Sienna with 171,000 miles.  Several times over the last 6 months the green a/c light will blink and the cold air will quit blowing but air will still blow, after a minute or several minutes it starts blowing cold again. Any ideas what could be going on?  Thanks.

The system may be low on refrigerant, A/C pressure gauges should be connected to the system to read the pressures in the system this is the first step in diagnosing a/c problems, if the system is low on freon there may be a leak in the system which will need to be repaired. I would recommend having a qualified a/c technician(try the toyota dealer)check and diagnose the system.
