Toyota Repair: Check Engine Lamp on 1991 Camry is ON, knock sensor, te1

Question
I pulled the code with the instructions I read connecting TE1 and E1 and got code 52, could you tell me what the code means? I have a 1991 V6 Camry Automatic. When I start my car it idles a little rough and when put in drive/reverse it idles even more rough. Sounds like its knocking a little. Thanks

The code 52 is a knock sensor code, there is a serious problem with this engine which causes the knocking noise and the rough idle, you should take it to the dealer or a good reliable repair shop to have it looked at, I don't have a quick answer because there are too many possible causes for this.
