I can't get any spark from the plugs on my Celica. Tried everything to get it to start, from holding the gas down to spraying starter fluid  in it. The car turns over just does not fire. Wondering if maybe it could be a bad distributor cap or ignition coil?

On a 1992 the coil is located in the distributor, if you have not done so already remove the distributor cap and check it and the rotor, remove the plastic coil cover and inspect the coil for cracks especially on the epoxy filled area, also check the coil for any burned spots, if no other problems can be found the distributor should be replaced.
