Toyota Repair: 91 Previa van, tps, carrie

Hi,

Finally I got through!  We recently bought a 91 Previa van with 258,000 and have been having problems.  When I'm driving between 40-60 kms it's been revving high and then low, then back to high.  By the reading I've been doing it's the tps and harness.  Unfortunately we took it to the dealership before doing any research and they changed the wires and some other stuff, ending up with a bill for $500 and the problem is still there.:(  We're leaving for vacation in 4 weeks and would like to take the van for a 6 hour drive (3 to Seattle and 3 back) but I am worried with our recent problem.  How much do you think getting it fixed would cost, approx.  Seeing as how we've already blown $500 I don't know how much more is in the budget before we go on holidays.  If it is the tps, how long can I go before we absolutely have to get it fixed.
