Toyota Repair: toyota speedometer cable, speedometer cable, toyota 4x4

Question
I have a 93 Toyota 4x4 sr5 with electronic speed cable I am replacing my dash with other gauges my main concern is that my new speedometer says that it needs a gear driven cable and I was told by Toyota that my transfercase is a gear driven cable for the speedometer however it has wires that are coming off the plug  I guess my question is what is a good year to source a gear driven speedometer cable that I can hook up to the back of my new speedometer its got to be cable driven not a magnetic driven

Answer
You may have to go back to 1986/87 but even if they did use the actual mechanical cable you would have to open the transfer case and install the drive gear and I have no idea what other parts may need to be changed, keep in mind that the speed sensor driven speedometers have a reluctor on the output shaft for the speed sensor and in order to use a cable the drive gear also has to be installed.
