Toyota Repair: 84 corolla 4A-C running hot, electric cooling fan, electric fan

Question
would you suggest putting in an electric fan to stop over heating...over heating happens when driving slow in heavy traffic

Answer
No, but what I would suggest is finding the root cause of the overheating problem, there is a problem that causes the overheating which needs to be diagnosed, think of it this way, if it needed an additional electric fan to keep it cool the factory would have put it on, find a repair shop or dealer that can find out why it's overheating, it may be as simple as replacing the thermostat or the radiator or the factory electric cooling fan is not turning on, have it checked, adding a fan will not help and will be  waste of your money.
