Toyota Repair: rear interior door panel, interior door panel, toyota camry

Question
'92 Toyota Camry,  Rear electric window quit rolling up and down.  I can hear the window motor running briefly when attempting to roll either up or down, window will not move when window motor runs, I can move window by hand.  I need to know first of all how to remove the door panel w/o destroying it.  Then if you have any other advice on the window motor, I would appreciate it as well. Thanks

Answer
A couple of things may have happened. The window may have fallen out of the track. Off hand I cannot recall if it is mounted in or press/glued in. Either way try to see if you can see if the track is moving as you activate the motor. Secondly, the motor may be running, but the bearing/joint where the motor connects to the track may be shot. To get the door panel off to check all this out needs to be removed by popping off a little piece of plastic that allows you to access the mounting screws. You may also need to disconnect the interior handle panel Unscrew the screws and pop off the lower end of the door panel with a long skinny screwdriver. Do this slowly and cautiously. There are little plastic pop-its that are about six to eight inches apart. Unpop one at a time all across the lower end of the door working up each side. Good luck.
