Driving & Driving Test Tips: foglights, oncoming headlights, dodge caravan

Question
HI!  My father is 71 years old and doesn`t like to drive at night lately.  He says he has trouble seeing with the oncoming lights.  While I admire him for knowing his limits, there will be times that he will have to take his mini-van out after dark, as he has a teen- age grand daughter who sometimes needs a ride to work/school/ect.
My question is this,  will getting fog lights installed on his van help reduce his difficulty seeing?  I am thinking there may be a type of light, or specific color fog light, that will cut down some of the glare from oncoming headlights.  What are the best type of fog lights?  What color is the best?  Also, is it possible to replace his regular headlights (93 dodge caravan) with the newer zeon headlights?  Or are they only for the newer cars?  I really appreciate any advice you can give.  I am borrowing his van for the week and would like to get some lights installed before I return it.
Thanks!

Anne-

My apologies on my late reply.  I was trying to find out more information before answering.

As I read your question, your concern was about the glare of oncoming lights.  The only way I know of is to slightly tint the windows.  Fog lights would help him see the road but not cut the glare.

Also, it is possible to install the lights on older vehicles.
