Toyota Repair: Power door locks, toyota corolla dx, toyota corolla

Question
The rear door door locks will not operate by power. it sounds like the actuator is trying to operate but the locks will not work. Is there a separate switch or something that I am missing. It ia a 1996 Toyota Corolla DX. Thanks

Answer
All the door lock actuators are on the same electrical circuit so if the front doors are locking/unlocking the problem must be with the rear door locks, it sounds like the actuators are trying to work, the problem is probably with the door latches, the door panels need to be removed to inspect what exactly is malfunctioning, the actuators can be disconnected from the door lock latches to see if they can be activated, if the actuators respond without being connected to the door locks then the door lock latch assemblies need top be replaced.
