Answer
I have mailed a response to this question already. If you want to remove the light you can use a tiny drill bit to pop it. HOWEVER, that light is on because there is a problem with your mechanical system. By not addressing the problem you will end up with more costly repairs in the future. As for your horn, you need to see if there is current going to the horn itself. To check this you will need a test light. Have a friend push down on the horn button while you disconnect the HORN and use the test light to see if the current is running thru the wire to the horn. If the light illuminates then your HORN is bad. If the light does not illuminate, then the switch or the wiring is bad. On a 1989 vehicle you may be spending a little more than you want just to fix a horn. A horn is a safety devise so you will have to determine which is worth it...safety or $$$$$
