Toyota Repair: help with my toyota, toyota tacoma sr5, aluminum engine

Question
I got 2005 toyota tacoma sr5 4.0 liters x runner 4x4 xcab with bad engine (crack in the block) i found good motor  in the wrecking yard but is 2006 4.0 liters no x runner same motor?  the guy in the wrecking say all i got to do is replace the  wiring in the injectors and replace oil pan  is that true

Same engine. Don't know about the wiring / oil pan itnerfferance. Buy it & see!
Cracked the block? How the fuck did you manage to do that!? Sheesh! It may be an open deck aluminum engine, but it does have factory block protection plates in it.
Hell the Honda performance tuners pay afew hundred dollars just to have one set of those custom made & welded in!?


Good engine... Economical. Very, very strong factory parts in them.
And they really take well to a turbo, management & water injection.
