Toyota Repair: 89 Camry, 3SFE electric controlled auto, little hot rod, timing gears

My question is this, will the 3SGE or 3SGTE head and the related components to make them work such as the timing gears and such work on a 3SFE block? What interchanges within all of the 3SFE,3SGE and 3SGTE family?

Honestly I don't know how well these engine parts interchange. I have always wanted to try it myself and build a little hot rod, but never seem to have the time or money.  I know that the main difference is the 3SFE is a single camshaft engine wear the GTE is dual camshaft. Both engines use 4 valves per cylinder, but the SFE uses one cam to control all 4 per cylinder. Would run great in an old MR2...:)  I always wanted to drop a Supra turbo engine into an old Cressida. Talk about a luxury sleeper...
