Toyota Repair: re help with repair, upper radiator hose, metal hose

Hi iwas trying to replace the upper radiator hose inlet ,it appears to have a metal hose under it that comes out the other side to where the thermostae is how to i disconnect it thanks heaps greg

Toyota's readily avalible database only goes back to about '89-91 for most platforms.
