Tim, I pulled the cam pulley as you suggested and the dowl was not broken, but I noticed that there are two marks on the face of the cam bearing . I realize I might be using the wrong mark. There is a recessed dot at about 10 o'clock and a notch on the edge at about 12 o'clock, on the face of the cam bearing. Which is the correct mark for TDC? The valves on #1 were just closed and the rotor seemed to be close. As you can see your previous answer was helpful and look forward to hearing from you again. Bill

I hope you had a good Christmas, sorry for the late reply as I took a few days off for the holiday.

I am going to double check my T-belt book at work and let you know exactly where your timing marks should be.  It would be best if you provide your email and I will scan a copy and send it too you.
